Port Stephens Experience 2017 Review!

R Marine Sydney hosts weekend away for clients at Port Stephens

From the word go the weekend started great, the sun was shining and the conditions were perfect. The fleet left Sydney harbour and cruisied over to Pittwater to collect a few more clients, from here we made our way as a fleet to our first stop Lake Macquarie.

Here we spent a great night at Marmong Point Marina and enjoyed a fantastic three course dinner at a local restaurant over looking the lake. Everyone enjoyed a great first night to get know one another, and the chance to receive their R Marine Sydney gift bags.

From Lake Macquarie we headed north again for our final destination D’Albora Marina Nelson Bay, again with perfect blue skies and calm conditions it really made for the perfect weekend boating.

Here at Port Stephens we enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the Little Beach Boat house which is situated right on the water. I think this has to be a must visit if you are heading to Port Stephens any time soon as the menu was just fantastic!

Sunday we enjoyed a day off the water visiting the Hunter Valley, first stop was a beautiful custom R Marine Sydney 5 course degustation lunch with matching wine at the outstanding Bimbadgen Estate.

From here we then travelled to Brokenwood estate for a VIP wine tasting and local cheese tasting afternoon. For our clients that didn’t join us for the Hunter Valley day, there was the chance to explore Broughton Island.

It was a pleasure to get to know our clients and we all had a fantastic time, our next event will be launching soon so watch this space …..
Richard and Christine Purcell described the experience below;

Richard and I enjoyed the Port Stephens experience very much . We were the only Belize in the group and were a little slow entering Lake Macquarie and last to go under the bridge but made it !.
Dinner was fantastic  in the quaint restaurant and Lake Macquarie  was much larger than  I expected . The marina at Marmong Point was great .
We headed off on the Saturday for Port Stephens in perfect weather ,took longer than i thought but arrival at D’Albora Nelson Bay did not disappoint . We enjoyed the shopping ,swimming and Little Boat House for dinner gave us beautiful food.
To also experience the Hunter Valley and Bimbadgen for lunch was a real bonus on the Sunday . Thank you to Abby and Mike Joyce for making this weekend happen’.
