Koala Eco was founded by husband and wife duo Jessica Bragdon and Paul Davidson in 2017. Born out of a desire to find eco-friendly, non-toxic products that were both efficacious and safe for even the littlest members of every household, the Koala Eco range of household and personal care products harnesses the power of potent botanicals and plant-based ingredients to inspire a safe, caring, and beautiful world. Brought together by a shared passion for environmental sustainability and the wonders of the natural world, the story between Jess and Paul spans from New York City to Western Australia, with the couple settling down in a leafy Sydney suburb with their sons Emerson and Arthur. A health scare during their youngest son’s infancy spurred Jess and Paul, to reassess the products they used in their household. A frustration at the lack of effective non-toxic, eco-friendly products served as the impetus for Koala Eco. With the prerequisites of their products being powerful yet biodegradable, environmentally sustainable, and safe for the entire household, the couple set out to create products that matched the efficacy of conventional household cleaners in removing bacteria and impurities, disinfecting, and deodorising. They also wanted to create a beautiful, sensorial experience with both their cleaning and personal care products. Paul and Jessica believed people wanted to be more sustainable and natural in their product choices, but the selection of existing products fell short.

Koala Eco solely uses 100% recycled and recyclable packaging, with each botanically illustrated bottle sold marking a donation to 1% for the Planet, an organisation that distributes funds to approved environmentally focused non-profit partners. Koala Eco supports Port Stephens Koalas, WWF Australia, and is currently developing a program to promote health and wellness by connecting people to nature.
