Just a quick work to say thank you to the team at R Marine Sydney for our experience at purchasing a boat through you. Although the boat was a second hand unit at no time did I feel I was being treated any different to a purchaser of a new boat. Everyone and I mean everyone at RMarine is very welcoming. They make the experience very enjoyable.
Martin Rose was fantastic and his boat knowledge second to none. He spent two days going through things with me on the boat and the few small items that I wanted repaired made sure it was completed with no fuss. He then spent a day with me teaching me the boat characteristics and handling.
When it comes time to upgrade I will have no hesitation in visiting R Marine again and recommending them to friends and family.
Please thank Michael, Martin and thanks to yourself, of course for the prompt assessment and proper preparation for sale of my boat. A very special thanks to Craig, whom journeyed to Port Hacking and assisted in the movement of my boat to your marina at Rozelle. As you may know, Craig’s very prompt, pro-active approach to hull and prop preparation enabled my vessel to achieve the max target speed suggested by the factory. The sale transacted quickly and efficiently with an excellent outcome for all concerned.
I have known Michael Joyce since 2002, when he sold us our first new vessel. He and his team have never failed me, always providing excellent service in all respects at very reasonable costs.
When considering my next vessel, R Marine Sydney will be my first port of call.

I just had a phone call from Philip Nounnis who I emailed to welcome to the Riviera family, and confirm contact details that were initially provided by Mary. Philip called me immediately and said that he has owned boats for over 40 years and never had such a warm welcome to a boating family before. He was very impressed with the service from R Marine Sydney and then direct follow up from Riviera. He was joking saying he might call his new boat ‘Perfection’.

I have been in boats on Sydney harbour for just on fifty years. During that time I have had numerous boats such as Bertrams, Marklines , Searays , Crestas and five Rivieras
I have always found buying boats a little challenging in as much as a genuine sales person and one who knows his stuff and is still there after you part with the money and need warranty.
Around May this year I owned one of the best boats that I had ever owned, a 38-foot Riviera 38 flybridge.
It was the love of my life a great boat and we spent just over eight years together. Due to a major health issue with my wife where she could no longer manage the flybridge stairs I was faced with selling the 38 Riviera and looking at purchasing a single deck Riviera sports yacht so that my wife and I could still enjoy the water.
R Marine Sydney was the obvious dealer to speak to and Michael Joyce the dealer principle has been a person I have known for over twenty years. We became friends over the years although I never bought a boat from Michael since he owned the dealership.
I was looking at the internet and found that R Marine Sydney had the very boat that I wanted. I bit the bullet and called the dealership and a young male voice answered the phone and started the conversation by telling me his name, “my name is Simon Don how can I help you”.
I told him what I was after and that I wanted to sell my lovely Riviera 38 which was pristine and get a 3600 sports yacht and explained the reasoning why. Simon had all the answers and I thought when I hung up the phone, he sounded young and I have never heard of Simon Don in the boating business before, maybe it is a sales “g-up”.
Curiously I got Simon to meet me and have a look at my boat which he did. He told me that the price that I was asking for my boat was a fair price and the boat is as good as I said it was as good as I said it was. The further we went in discussing a change over deal the more confidence I got in Simon. He really knew his stuff and was really on the ball.
Within two days we struck a deal and I gave him a deposit. I was feeling more comfortable now and over the following couple of weeks there were some little issues with the 3600 SY that concerned me and Simons answer was always the same “ I will take care of it for you ,please don’t worry” and he really stuck to his word and everything that I requested to the most trivial was done without question . It was really fantastic and something that I never experienced before when purchasing a boat .
Most dealers once you were committed would go for the “jugular” but not R Marine Sydney and Simon Don
I have taken the time to write this appraisal because the company deserved the recognition for a job very well done and by reading this article when considering a boat purchase Simon Don and the R Marine Sydney guys are a great team.

The boat arrived in pristine condition.
